Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 NPP Presidential candidate has said that the NPP gave power to the National Democratic Congress on a silver platter.

According to Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the NDC didn’t win the elections but the NPP gave them power by refusing to show up at the polling stations to vote.

He said the data shows that NPP supporters didn’t show up on December 7 to vote and that is why president John Dramani Mahama won the elections.

“NDC didn’t win the 2024 elections, we (NPP) gave them the victory on a silver platter because we didn’t show up to vote in our numbers.”

Dr. Bawumia added that president Mahama won the elections with 1.7 million vote margin so if the 2.1 million NPP supporters who didn’t vote had voted, the NPP would have won.

“2.1 million NPP supporters didn’t show up to vote and president Mahama won the elections with a vote margin of 1.7 million. This clearly shows that if our people had shown up to vote, NPP would have won the elections.”
