Introduction of Chief Justice Anin Yeboah by Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin in parliament today after President Nana Akufo-Addo had finished reading his address of the state of the nation was greeted with a huge uproar.
The introduction received mixed reactions from the MPs. While the NPP MPs were heard singing his praises, the NDC MPs hooted at the Chief Justice.
The uproar characterized by the proceedings of the just ended 2020 Election Petition hearing has since gained mixed feelings from both the ruling and opposition Parties for which Justice Anning Yeboah presided over.
All the seven justices of the Supreme Court upheld the Nana Akufo-Addo victory in the Election 2020.
The known ‘ritual’ of yelling and hooting has become a norm for over two decades since the 4th republic commenced.
The Chief Justice however stood still and composed in the heat of the uproar.
