National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially appointed actor John Dumelo as its Parliamentary Candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency for the 2024 elections.
The leadership of the party took the decision after some constructive discussions.
In a press release issued on Sunday, August 13, it said the other two aspirants who filed to contest Mr Dumelo agreed to step down after engagements with party leadership.
“As a result of this harmonious agreement, we proudly endorse and present Mr. John Dumelo as the official NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency for the upcoming 2024 Parliamentary Elections”the statement said.
They also called on the general public and supporters of the NDC to rally behind Mr. Dumelo to take the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 polls.
