NDC Presidential Race: Alabi joins list of names missing from register

It has emerged that Professor Joshua Alabi, a contender in the ongoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) elections flagbearership race, has joined a tall list of missing names from the voters’ register

Mr Alabi who turned up to vote in the Krowor Constituency could not find his name in the register.

His wife who was with him at the polling station was, however, able to cast her vote without any challenges.

After several minutes of fruitless searching, the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies was allowed to vote as both electoral officers and polling agents reached a compromise.

This was after his name was included in the register in a hand-written form.

Over 400 delegates have so far cast their ballots at the Krowor Constituency where a total number of 1,397 voters are expected to cast their votes.

Mr Alabi had claimed the Presidential primaries has been hugely compromised, prompting him to raise alarm even before the process started.

The former university professor claimed that he had exclusive information that some of the ballot boxes had been tampered with, ahead of the election.
