Ghanaian sports journalist Joseph Adamafio has officially become a licensed FIFA Football Agent after passing the FIFA Agent Exams held globally in June 2025 – and doing so on his first attempt.
Joseph is now among a small group of certified agents from Ghana. His journey into football agency builds on years of experience covering major sporting events and interviewing top athletes.
Before entering football representation, Joseph worked with JoySports and GhanaWeb, and runs Sports Update Ghana, a YouTube channel where he consistently promotes young talents and shares stories from Ghana’s sporting landscape.
A graduate of University of Arts, Media and Communications – Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-IJ), Joseph also holds a Level 1 Talent Identification certificate from the English Football Association.
Reflecting on his decision, he said his childhood in Chorkor, the same neighbourhood that produced Stephen Appiah, inspired him to take this path.
“I saw many talented footballers whose dreams were cut short due to lack of opportunities,” he said. “That’s why I’m committed to using my network to create pathways and support the growth of Ghana football.”
Joseph now steps into a new role, focused on helping young players realise their potential and reach the professional level.
