Ghanaian dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah known in showbiz as Shatta Wale has issued a statement warning fans not to compare him with the legendary Daddy Lumba.

According to Shatta Wale, Daddy Lumba is a pioneer of Ghanaian music who inspired a whole generation of artists and feels it is disrespectful for any comparison between them to start with.

Wale’s comment come on the back of the heated debate on social media comparing him to Daddy Lumba despite their different genres of music and era’s of dominance.

“It is very disrespectful to compare me to the legend Daddy Lumba , Everyone should stop that because the man in Question paved way for your favs and me myself,” Shatta Wale wrote on his X page as sighted by Happy News.

He however, urged critics and his fans to rather do a comparison between him and his compatriots like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Samini.

“Why don’t you compare me to your so called decorated sark and stone .You know it will be a disgrace to them so you chose this path to create more haters for me ryt. Time go tell, Man go learn. God is watching you all.”
