Senior Advanced Emergency Medical Technician at the National Ambulance Service, Michael Gaanie has disclosed that the new ambulances have all been insured by the foreign manufacturer of these ambulances.

In an interview on the Happy Morning Show aired on Happy 98.9FM, he revealed: “The ambulances have all been insured. For now, the company that manufactured the ambulances has the contract of insuring the ambulances for the next two to three years before handing over to the Government of Ghana I, however, cannot disclose the name of the company”.

He furthered that the Ministry of Health and the National Ambulance Service has put in place internal measures to ensure that the right processes are carried out when an accident occurs.

“The Honourable Minister of Health and our CEO have put together a document informing the processes one needs to go through when an accident occurs taking into factor whether the accident was caused by the driver or another road user”, he added.

Join the trio, Samuel Eshun, Fati Shaibu-Ali and Raymond Nyamador on Happy Morning Show every weekday (Monday to Friday) 5:30am to 9:00am.
