The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Godwin Animli Dogbadzi-Dorani, has launched the Nkoko Nkitinkiti project in his constituency, distributing 10,000 birds to over 170 farmers.
The initiative aims to boost poultry production and strengthen food security in Ghana.
The government has provided feed, vaccines, and medication to support the farmers, and the MP advised beneficiaries to follow guidelines from veterinary officers to ensure the successful rearing of the birds.
Dogbadzi-Dorani emphasized that the project is designed to enhance poultry production and improve the livelihoods of farmers in the constituency.
The District Chief Executive, Albert Dakurah, pledged to monitor the project and support farmers, stating that the assembly is open to all and sundry who want to partake in the rearing of the birds. “The district assembly will speed up efforts to monitor the beneficiaries of the project regularly to identify challenges and provide necessary support,” he said.
Beneficiaries thanked the government for the initiative and requested continued support with feed and medication. “We are grateful for this opportunity and promise to take good care of the birds.
