The 1st Vice NPP Western Regional Chairman, Nana Sarfo Akye Kweku Badu, has expressed his agreement with the party’s executives regarding the GH₵ 100,000 application fee for presidential hopefuls.
This fee is part of the party’s primaries process, and some party members support it as a way to ensure aspirants are serious about their bids.
In an interview with Happy news, Mr. Badu said, the fee might deter individuals who aren’t genuinely committed to running for office, and also the fees collected could help the party cover costs associated with the primaries.
The NPP has set the fees for presidential aspirants, with an application fee of GH₵ 100,000 and a filing fee of GH₵ 500,000
