The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Kodua Frimpong has disregarded claims that the NPP approached Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A-plus, the Member of Parliament elect for Gomoa Central Constituency to align with the NPP Parliamentary caucus in the 9th Parliament.

According to him, the Party has not met with A-plus for such conversations.

In a Facebook post on January 6, 2025, Justin Kodua Frimpong said, “The NPP has not met with A-plus, nor has it authorized anyone to convey any message to him on its behalf”.

His comment comes after A-plus posted on his Facebook wall on January 6, 2025 that, the NPP, led by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has officially approached him to discuss aligning himself with them in Parliament.

“Their proposals include several intriguing agreements, such as a commitment that they will not contest the Gomoa Central Parliamentary seat in the 2028 election”.

A-plus also indicated in his post that the NDC have also invited him for a meeting either for the same purpose or different agenda, he did not emphatically reveal what the meeting was about.
The MP-Elect for the Gomoa Central Constituency emphasized that his heart leans towards the NDC but will work with the party who has his interest at Heart.

“The NDC, with whom I genuinely wish to align, has also invited me for a meeting tomorrow at 8:00am. While I have Friends in both the NDC and NPP, they have to understand that I have to disappoint someone tomorrow. Let me make this simple and clear: deep down, my heart leans towards the NDC, but I will ultimately side with whoever has my interest at heart and provides the best offer for me and the people of Gomoa Central “, he stated.
