Flagbearership race: Choosing Bawumia over Alan is a sign of ungratefulness-NPP told

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) committee will begin vetting some of the party’s flagbearer candidates today, July 3, 2023.

The former trade minister Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Kwadwo Poku will be amongst the first to face the committee when it gets to work.

On Tuesday, July 4, the vetting committee will also hear from former Energy Minister Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, former General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and MP for Assin Central Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Dr. Owusu Afriyie, a former Minister of Agriculture, and Joe Ghartey, the MP for Essikado-Ketan Constituency, will take turns on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Former Mampong MP, Francis Addai-Nimako, will also undergo vetting to complete the process on Thursday.

Prof. Mike Oquaye, former speaker of parliament will serve as the committee’s chair.

Other members include Roads Minister, Kwasi Amoako Atta, Stephen Abenkwa Sekyere, Osei Bonsu Amoah, Lord Oblittey Commey, Frank Davies, Rita Talata, Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, and Adelaide Ahwireng.
