The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially launched an AI(Artificial Intelligence)-powered chatbot set to present all voters with a chance to interact and get access to all thoughts and policies of the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The news of the chatbot’s launch was made in a recent release by the party’s Director of I.T and Head of Digital Campaign Strategy, Stephen Forson, touting it as the future of political dialogue in Ghana.

He explained that the platform creates an unprecedented level of accessibility and transparency in Ghanaian politics.

Additionally, the AI-powered platform as stated, will for the first time in Ghana’s political space ensure voters across all demographics and regions can engage in meaningful dialogue with a presidential candidate in a format that ‘feels almost as personal as a face-to-face conversation.’

Also outlined in the release, was the significance of this digital feat and its importance to voters some of which included the near in -person interaction it gives to voters, its availability at anytime on any day of the week, and also all responses void of ambiguity and transparency as they no longer have to rely on rallies and media interviews to hear from Dr. Bawumia.

The release noted the BawumiaGPT as an evidence of Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to making technology a cornerstone of Ghana’s development and will serve as a crucial bridge between the electorate and the NPP campaign.. “As we draw closer to the 2024 elections, the BawumiaGPT platform will serve as a crucial bridge between the electorate and the NPP campaign, ensuring that voters are fully informed, engaged and empowered to make choices that reflect the best interests of the nation.” the release indicated.
