Bible Scholar describes the Olympic Games as demonic
Ghanaian Bible Scholar, Obadiah Amankwah has asserted that the well known international sporting event, Olympic Games is evil.
According to him, “It originated from Greece and the name of the god being served is Zeus who’s temple is on a mountain called Olympus”.
He emphasized that as a way of paying homage to this god, they came up with the Olympic Games so that every 4 years the whole world come to show respect to this god.
Talking to Rev Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s NsemPii he said, “So every 4 years they go there to pay homage to the god and they refer to it as the Olympic games with all these countries coming in as representatives for the game but the main purpose is to show reverence to their god”.
He emphasized that, the Olympic games is a game for the gods hence Ghanaians should not be participating in it.
“If it wasn’t a demonic game, why would a game meant for the whole world to participate in be called the Olympic Games and not any other name?” he asked.
Citing an example he said, “It was the same thing that happened when Moses was going for the 10 commandments and left the people of Israel only to come back and find them making a god for themselves to worship and serve and this can be found in the book of Exodus 2”.
The Bible Scholar added that, these games do exist and Ghanaians need to be careful in order not to participate in them.
