Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has accused the Electoral Commission of taking steps to stop electoral officials from passing information to unnamed persons.

In a post on Facebook, Dr. Omane Boamah stated that, the Electoral Commission does not appoint partisan Electoral Officers.

Dr. Omane Boamah’s comment comes in the wake of a press conference organized by Gomoa East NDC executives accusing the NPP aspirants, Kojo Asemanyi of plotting to rig the December 7th elections in his favor.

He has urged Electoral Officers to be professional and non- partisan.

Of Partisan Polling Officials: NPP Delegates Lists Will Be Compared with Elections Officers for December 7 Polls
————‐——————————————————

This message is pre-emptive because time no dey: Regulation 19(6) of CI127.

Refreshing to note that the Electoral Commission Ghana is taking steps to stop Election officials including Presiding Officers from passing on information to un-named persons as contained in the published attached/uploaded memo.

We urge all elections officials to be professional and non-partisan. 👏

EC, do not appoint partisan Elections Officers!!!

Prevention!
——————

This being the case, in advance of the Electoral Commission announcing names of Presiding Officers, Ballot Issuers, Verification Officers, Inkers and other Elections officials, #EAGLEEYES have secured the various NPP delegates lists…

(Recall that in the Ejisu by-election NPP polling station executives served as EC polling officials.)

We serve notice that with less than 11 days to the General Elections, we shall still compare the various NPP delegates lists with the EC appointed 2024 Elections officials, expose any partisan appointees and demand prompt replacement.

We wish the EC had published the list earlier.

However, per Regulation 19(6) of CI127, the Electoral Commission of Ghana has one (1) more day to publish this list.

We trust this late publication will not become the excuse for not weeding out partisan polling officials.

This message is pre-emptive because time no dey!

Vote John Dramani Mahama for well-paying jobs through the 24-hour economy initiative 👏

Still keep #EAGLEEYES on the Electoral Commission and the NPP.
