Popular Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has claimed that there is no money in the acting industry now hence actors and actresses are not enjoying, and the only people enjoying currently in acting are politicians.
There have been divergent opinions on the Ghanaian movie industry – which many believe it is at its lowest ebb.
Expressing his opinion on the trending issue, Kweku Manu couldn’t agree with the masses more as he posited that only the politicians in the industry will swat aside the claim that the sector is going down the quagmire.
“Anyone who says he/she is enjoying the industry now is a politician,” Manu told DJ Advicer on Happy FM‘s Ayekoo After Drive show via a phone interview.
“Now as am talking to you if any actor is to tell you that he’s enjoying then he may be into politics trust my words I’m not lying to you, they are all in their rooms.”
“The last time I shot a movie was four months ago and that was even just a TV series.”
