The Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, held an interactive session with queen mothers from the Sunyani West Constituency during her campaign tour of the Bono Region.

The meeting, held in Odumase, saw a large turnout of queen mothers from across the area.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reiterated her commitment to women’s empowerment and stressed the need for proactive government support.

She also emphasized the NDC’s focus on promoting girls’ education, pledging to prioritize initiatives that ensure more girls complete their studies.

The vice presidential candidate also outlined key NDC policies aimed at empowering women and encouraged them to back the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming December 7 election.

The queenmothers commended Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for her unwavering dedication and support to women’s issues and expressed optimism about her becoming Ghana’s first female Vice President.

Nana Yaa Adansi Puduo, queen mother of Odumase No.1, raised critical challenges affecting their communities, including poor road infrastructure, unemployment, and the need for new teacher and nursing training colleges in the constituency.
