There have always been a lot of criticisms and controversies surrounding award schemes, especially music ones in Ghana. With some artistes, managers, and producers always complaining of foul play.

But it seems the 3music Awards scheme which took place last weekend has redeemed the music awards scheme in the country.

Kawoula Biov who won the Viral Song of The Year, with his hit single, Daavi Ne Ba which featured Patapaa has been satisfied with the results and praised organizers or the awards scheme.

In an interview on Hapoy98.9FM’s ‘ShowbizXtra’ he said, “I was real happy to win the award. Organizers of the 3music Awards were honest with their nominations unlike Charter House which didn’t give me any nomination regardless of my song going viral.”

According to him, he challeged the organizers of the VGMAs for not nominating his song for the viral song category but to no avail.

The musician revealed that he was very excited to have won the award because Charter House had discouraged him. “Receiving the award from 3music made happy and I have been motivated to do more,” he noted.

When the nominations for the 2020 VGMAs were announced, most Ghanaians expected Kawoula’s hit single, Daavi Ne Ba which featured Patapaa to be in the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year. But he received no nomination and was not pleased about it.
