Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has unveiled a 23-man squad for the 2025 Unity Cup in London, with a blend of youth, experience, and exciting debutants.

The squad features four home-based players: goalkeeper Benjamin Asare (Hearts of Oak), Razak Simpson (Nations FC), Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC), and striker Kwame Opoku (Asante Kotoko), all earning well-deserved spots after strong domestic campaigns.

Former West Ham United goalkeeper Joseph Tetteh Anang, now with Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Athletic, earns his maiden call-up to the senior national team.

Two rising stars from Ghana’s U-20 team, Abdul Aziz Issah and Aaron Essel who impressed at the recent U-20 AFCON in Egypt, also make the list, as Ghana continues to reward emerging talent.

Youngsters Caleb Yirenkyi (FC Nordsjaelland) and Gadafi Mohammed Fuseini (Union Saint-Gilloise) further bolster the squad, adding depth and promise.

The team also sees the return of familiar faces, including Sunderland’s Abdul Samed Salis, who is back from injury, Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru, and forward Felix Afena-Gyan, who re-enters the setup after nearly two years away.

The Black Stars will assemble in London to compete in the Unity Cup, where they face Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica. Ghana’s opening fixture is a high-profile clash with Nigeria on May 28 at the GTech Community Stadium in West London. The winner of that match will progress to the final on May 31.
