Several industry players wondered why troubled music duo Dobble did not both appear to pick their award at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

According to Ennwai who was not present at the event, Paa Kwasi kept his ticket and that is why he could not make it.

He explained this to DJ Advicer on the ‘Ayekoo’ after drive show on Happy FM.

“Before the event we were given the artiste pass, so he went to Charter House to pick them up. When I was ready to go pick mine up with my manager, we were informed he had already picked both up, they showed us his signature acknowledging receipt. We called him severally but he never picked any of our calls. I didn’t attend the event because he didn’t give my ticket to me,” he clarified.

Advicer then asked whether or not he received part of the money that came with winning the most popular song of the year award which they won that day.

“Yes, he gave me my share of the money,” he said.

“It’s with my brother and I’m comfortable with it,” he stated when asked which one of them keeps the plaque.

As solo artistes, they have made a name for themselves are doing well with their music.
