Former highlife artiste Evangelist Papa Shee whose real name is Nana Yaw Akorsah in an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Ayeeko After Drive show’ with host DJ Advicer has revealed his greatest desire is to see secular musicians repenting from their old ways and fulfilling their purpose on earth which is to worship God.
‘’I pray all secular musicians repent. we were brought on earth to worship God‘’ he said.
Evangelist Papa Shee who has also lived in the United States of America (USA) for over a decade also shared with DJ Advicer his encounter with God while still a highlife musician.
According to him God revealed Himself to him in a dream and told him to go and preach the gospel.
‘’After ex-president Barrack Obama’s inauguration I was quite tired and went home to sleep that was when God revealed himself to me. It was a sight to behold, His garment was spotless white with a red stripe in front. I couldn’t look at the sheer magnificence of His face, that was when the power of God came upon me’’ he narrated.
He also recalled an incident after the encounter that finally convinced him that his true calling is to preach the gospel. ‘’At my album launch when the MC called me to perform, I mounted the stage and started preaching instead of singing’’ He said.
However, Evangelist Papa shee refused to be accept the new crop of Men of God in Ghana as colleagues because according to him a true man of God will not sell onions, lemons in church or give out lotto numbers.
