The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has officially announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Parliament House, Accra.

This announcement was contained in a statement issued from the Office of the Speaker on October 8, 2025, following an earlier notice that deferred the initial commencement date of the meeting, which had been scheduled for October 6, 2025.

In accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, the Speaker stated that the new date marks the formal beginning of the Third Meeting of the current parliamentary session.

The statement, signed by the Speaker, emphasized that all Members of Parliament are expected to attend the sitting as the House resumes business to deliberate on key national issues.

The resumption will see Parliament consider pending bills, motions, and reports, as well as conduct other essential legislative and oversight duties before the House.
