European football specialist and Happy FM Sports Presenter, Emmanuel Asante brings you a comprehensive update on how Ghanaian players performed in abroad this weekend. 

There were swashbuckling displays from some of the Ghanaian players who featured for their various clubs over the weekend. 

Joseph Paintsil continued his fine form this weekend as he scored another goal for Genk in the Belgium pro league.

Albert Adomah was introduced in the 13th minutes for Nottingham Forest as they beat Birmingham City 3-0.

Andrew Ayew played 68 minutes for Swansea City and defeated Preston North End 3-2.

David Accam introduced in the 80 minutes and scored for Columbus Crew and their 2-2 draw against Toronto.

BELGIUM

Joseph Painstil lasted the entire 90 minutes and scored the only goal for Genk as they beat Waasland Beveren 1-0 at away whiles Thomas Agyapong was introduced in the 46 minutes for the away team.

Daniel Opare missed Antwerp’s game against Sporting Charleroi at away.

Eric Ocansey played 84 minutes for Kortrijk in their 4-2 home win against Anderlecht

BULGARIA

Abdul Nurudeen was on the bench for Eupen as they drew 0-0 against Club Brugg .

Carlos Ohene lasted 73 minutes in their 2-0 home win against Betov Plovdiv.

Nasiru Mohammed featured for Levski Sofia in the entire 90 minutes after they went away to beat Vitosha Bistritsa

CECH REPUBLIC

Emmanuel Antwi played 81 minutes for Priblam as they lost 2-0 away with Slovacko.

CROATIA

Patrick Osei Kesse was unused as his team Varazdin 1-1 with LOK Zagrab at home.

CHINA

Emmanuel Boateng played 24 minutes as Dalian Yifang lost 2-0 to Beijing Guong.

Frank Acheampong lasted the 90 minutes for Tianjin Teda as they lost 5-1 Shanghai SIPG.

FRANCE

John Boye played the entire duration for FC Metz in their 3-0 win against Monaco.

In the Ligue 2, Ebenezer Assifuah was unused substitute for Le Havre as they defeated Lens 3-1.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi was unused for Sochaux in their 0-1 lost to Lorient.

Emmanuel Ntim lasted the 90 minutes for Valenciennes as they defeated Rodez 1-0 at home.

ENGLAND

In the Championship, Albert Adomah was introduced in the 13th minutes for Nottingham Forest as they beat Birmingham City 3-0.

Andrew Ayew played 68 minutes for Swansea City and defeated Preston North End 3-2.

GERMANY

Bernard Tekpertey, Kasim Nuhu and Kelvin Ofori were on the bench for Fortuna Dusseldorf in their 3-1 away loss to Werder Bremen, Nana Ampomah missed the game.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei played 90 minutes for newly-promoted Bundesliga side Paderborn and lost 3-2 against Bayer Luverkusen.

Kwasi Okyere Wriedt and Jerome Boateng were on the bench for Bayern Munich 2-2 draw against Hertha BSC.

SPAIN

Iddrusi Baba Mohammed and Lumor Agbenyenu lasted 90 minutes for Mallorca as they beat Eibar 2-1 at Palma de Mallorca.

Joseph Aidoo warmed the bench for Celta Vigo as Real Madrid thrashed them 3-1 at Abanca-Balaidos Vigo.

SPAIN SEGUNDA DIV

Lugo 0-0 Extremadura, Emmanuel Lomotey played 79 minutes for Extremadura.

Ernest Ohemeng played 35 minutes for Mirandes as they drew 2-2 against Rayo Vallecano.

Raphael Dwamena lasted 59 minutes for Real Zaragoza as they thrashed Tenerife 2-0 at Romareda Zaragoza.

SLOVAKIA

Osman Bukari lasted the entire 90 minutes and also showed yellow card for Trencin as they beat Trnava 2-1 away.

Sonica 2-2 Ruzomberok, Emmanuel Addo played 90 minutes while Sadam Sully enjoyed only last 19 minutes for their team Sonica.

Benson Annan played only 12 minutes for Silina as they beat Nitra 3-0 at home.

SWEDEN

Karim Sadat came off the bench to get the late win for Halmstads BK in their 3-2 victory over HBK Borja in the Swedish second-tier league on Saturday.

Dennis Antwi lasted 46 minutes for Trelleborg FC as they drew 2-2 against Begorfors in the Swedish second-tier league.

While Enoch Kwakwa played 83 minutes for Jonkopings as the best home side Frej 3-1 in the same Swedish second-tier.

USA

Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful played 90 minutes each while David Accam introduced in the 80 minutes and scored for Columbus Crew and drew 2-2 against Toronto.

Abu Danladi played only 19 minutes for Minnesota United whiles Lalas Abubakar lasted the 90 minutes for Colorado Rapids and lost 1-0 to Minnesota in their away game.

Edwin Gyasi played 19 minutes for FC Dallas and lost in the United Soccer League.
