[Photos] Bad roads: Angry Pokuase residents block road, chase MCE

Residents of Pokuase-Mayera in the Ga West Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, 13 August 2019 prevented the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Clemence Wilkinson from entering the town.

The angry residents, who were coincidentally demonstrating against the government over the bad roads.

According to the residents, the roads are unmotorable.

They say successive governments have failed to fix the Pokuase-Afiaman-Abensu-Mayera-Adusah roads despite the numerous promises.

Clad in red attires, they blocked the dusty roads with used car tyres and set them ablaze, causing a gridlock.

Some of their placards read: “No roads no votes in 2020.”
