There is a fire outbreak in a building opposite the Makola shopping mall in Accra.
The building is made of shops occupied by traders who deal in hair and cosmetic products.
The fire is said to have started around 9:30 am on Monday, July 5, 2021.
Fire personnel supported by one fire tender have been battling the fires.
It is unclear what might have caused the fire.
According to witnesses, when the fire started, they called on the fire service station that is situated a few meters away but they claimed “they do not have water” to douse the flames.
The fire then spread to the other floors destroying properties as traders and other spectators looked on.
