Footballers Should Stop Spending Unwisely- Kojo Addae-Mensah

Chief Executive Officer of DataBank, Kojo Adai- Mensah has cautioned Ghanaian footballers to desist from living too lavishly at the expense of investing in order to live an ideal life during and after their playing careers.
According to Addae-Mensah, who is an ardent football fan, most ex-footballers have today become a burden to the society because of their inability to invest the huge sums of money they received while playing.
“It marvels me when I speak to players. I don’t know who has been advising them. Most of them have the notion that we’re rather deceiving them to spend their money. They rather give heed to their friends who have no idea when it come to investments, and they later regret such decisions.” He told PJ MOZEY, on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports.
Mr. Adai Mensah also reckoned how the late coach Sam Addey helped players who played under his management at the ‘Gomoa Feteh Feyernood Academy’ to save.
“Coach Sam Addey purposely marched his players to our bank to save when ever they receive their pay. Most of the players today, are grateful and they sometimes come here to thank us.” Addae-Mensah told Happy FM.
“Some of them don’t pay heed to people like us because they think they’re earning week-in and week-out, and two years after their playing career they go broke,” Kojo Addae-Mensah he continued.
