The Ghana Police Service has announced its readiness to manage the planned demonstration by the Democracy Hub Group, scheduled for 21st to 23rd September 2024.
According to the police, adequate arrangements have been made to maintain law and order, as well as ensure peace and security during the event. Further details on the security measures will be provided by the police on Thursday, 19th September 2024.
Meanwhile, an Accra High Court has placed an injunction on the planned three-day demonstration by Democracy Hub. This court action follows concerns raised by the police regarding the group’s choice of venue for the protest, which is the area in front of the Jubilee House.
