The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into an alleged attack on broadcaster Kofi Adoma Nwanwani.

The host of ‘Anopa Bofuo’ on Angel TV was reportedly attacked by some men at Ashongman over the weekend and inflicted wounds on him.

An eyewitness who spoke to Ghanaweb narrated that Kofi Adomah was on his way to Accra from his property at Kuntunse when the yet-to-be identified men on a motorbike crossed his vehicle.

Reports say although the broadcaster tried to protect his face, the assassins were able to get access to his face and cut him with a sharp object.

The armed men also tried to pour a flammable liquid on him and set him ablaze but he was able to escape.

Police in a statement said the matter was reported to the police after the incident, assuring that the criminals are being pursued.

Meanwhile, Kofi Adomah is being treated at the Legon Hospital.
