The Ghana Police Service has invited the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, over claims that former President John Mahama is planning to stage a coup.
In a press statement on Tuesday, 15 February 2022, signed by the Director-General of Public Affairs, DCOP Kwesi Ofori, the law enforcement agency said, “Mr Kwame Baffoe is to report to the Regional Headquarters by 4 pm today to assist the investigation”.
The police said Abronye DC would be arrested if he failed to show up at the Accra Regional Command as publicized.
Meanwhile, the police have assured that it will update the public on the matter “in due course.”
