Head of Security at the Ghana Football Association, DCOP Lydia Donkor has refuted claims that Asante Kotoko supporter Nana Pooley was stabbed in the stadium.
According to DCOP Lydia Donkor, the stabbing of Nana Pooley which eventually led to his death happened outside the stadium while the game was ongoing.
According to her, they need to put this information out there because people are blaming the police for allowing fans to enter the stadium with weapons.
“We have gone to the grounds to investigate things for ourselves and we have to put certain information out there because because people are throwing things In the space.”

Meanwhile Asante Kotoko has announced that there would be a Virgil for the late Nana Pooley on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
