The 44th Guard Changing Ceremony at the Presidency took place earlier today at the Jubilee House in Accra.

This ceremony marks the handover of duties by a robust security force that has ensured effective protection at the Office of the President. Over the past few months, the outgoing team managed security during two major events: President Mahama’s New Year’s Greetings with the Diplomatic Corps in February and the Independence Day celebrations in March which were both organized with a focus on reducing government spending.

The ceremony involved the reshuffling of personnel responsible for security at the Presidency. In attendance, were President Mahama and some members of his cabinet.

The new guards will remain stationed at the Office of the President until September 2025, when the next Guard Changing Ceremony is scheduled to take place.
