President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his deep gratitude for the privilege of serving the people of Ghana as he nears the end of his presidency.

He reflected on the joy of the Christmas season, emphasizing its significance as a time of love, hope, and togethernes and how this season reminds Ghanaians the ultimate gift of Jesus Christ, whose birth brought light into the world and fulfilled the promise of salvation for humanity.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo delivering his final Christmas address on Tuesday, December 24, urged Ghanaians to embrace the values of kindness, compassion, and support for one another. He emphasized the importance of being one’s brother’s or sister’s keeper, extending hands of kindness, and upholding the dignity of every individual. He called on Ghanaians to reflect on the meaning of living as one nation under God, with a renewed commitment to peace and progress within their communities. He also encouraged everyone to reach out to the less fortunate, offering them not only material support but also the priceless gifts of time, love, and presence.

Reflecting on his tenure as president, he acknowledged the remarkable achievements made under his leadership. He pointed to the expansion of access to education, the strengthening of the healthcare system, significant investments in infrastructure, the revitalization of agriculture, and the acceleration of the country’s industrial transformation. However, he made it clear that these successes were not his alone but the collective achievements of the Ghanaian people. The resilience, determination, and commitment of Ghanaians everywhere were key to reaching these milestones.

As he prepares to end his presidency, President Akufo-Addo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Ghana for their unwavering support. He assured them that the nation’s journey is far from over, and each individual has an important role to play in continuing to build a united, prosperous, and progressive Ghana. He believes the country’s future remains bright, and with continued collaboration, Ghanaians will secure a better tomorrow for future generations.
