The President-Elect of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has reiterated his commitment to transforming Ghana into a nation that benefits all its citizens.

In a Christmas message shared on his X page, he described the holiday as a season of hope and inspiration, perfectly aligning with the new chapter unfolding for Ghana under his leadership. “As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and the values He lived in His own life, I wish to thank you, the good people of Ghana, for bestowing on me the opportunity to serve you as your President and Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.”

The message further emphasized his determination to implement policies aimed at uniting and advancing the nation. “I wish also to reaffirm my determination to build a nation that works for all, a prosperous and democratic state anchored in the principles of freedom, justice, accountability, and equal opportunities for all. Merry Christmas.”

President-Elect John Mahama shall assume office on Tuesday, January 7, 2024. As vowed, the reestablishment of the Mahama-led government will mark the commencement of a 120-day social contract to address key issues Ghanaians face within the first 120 days as President of the Republic Of Ghana.
