The Ministry of Interior has announced that Friday, July 4, 2025, has been declared a public holiday in Ghana.
In a statement issued and signed by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), while Tuesday, July 1, marks Republic Day, the day will not be observed as a public holiday.
Instead, President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, has, by Executive Instrument (E.I), declared Friday, July 4, as a public holiday to be observed across the country.
This declaration was made in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, 2021 (Act 601).
The public is advised to take note and observe the day as such.
