President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appealed to Ghanaians to use 5G internet service efficiently to promote the nation’s digital transformation.

Delivering a speech during the launch of 5G network in Accra today, November 1, 2024, the President advised Ghanaians especially the youth to hinder any action that can retrogress the nation’s digital transformation but must embrace the tremendous opportunities it will bring to the nation.

According to him, this initiative will contribute positively to the country’s development so far as technology is concerned.

He cautioned users and regulators to be vigilant to avoid potential digital threats.

“The journey ahead requires vigilance and responsibility. 5G is a powerful catalyst for shaping Ghana’s future and with its powers, comes a responsibility to use it wisely”.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo encouraged the youth to address any concerns related to cyber security, data privacy and use it efficiently to ensure that the high speed internet 5G connectivity brings about unity and not division so that it can benefit them in this digital era.
