President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mohammed Abdul-Salam to act as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Lottery Authority prior to the resignation of Samuel Awuku.
His appointment, according to an appointment letter sighted by Happyghana.com, is in accordance with Article 195 (1) of the Constitution and section 45(1) of the National Lotto Act, 2006 (Act 722).
Mr. Abdul-Salam’s appointment as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Lottery Authority is pending receipt of the Constitutionally required advice of the Board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
His appointment took effect from Wednesday 15th January, 2025.
