President Akufo-Addo has sacked Sarah Adwoa Safo as the Gender Minster.
This comes months after the Minister neglected her post and relocated to the United States of America to cater for her children.
Although the President had given her the opportunity to return to her post amidst criticism and insults, Adwoa Safo who is also a Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya refused to return to her post.
According to the statement, President Akufo-Addo did so under Article 81(a) of the 1992 Constitution.
“In accordance with Article 81(a) of the constitution, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revoked the appointment of Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member or Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, with immediate effect’” portion of the statement said.
