Private Newspaper and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) in partnership with the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) is set to launch a revised Code of Ethics for Private Newspaper and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) to maintain the integrity and accuracy of journalism and reporting Ghana.

Many media personalities and journalists gathered today, October 17, 2024 at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Hall, Accra where they are expected to be joined by Executive Director of the MFWA, Sulemana Braimah, President of PRINPAG, Edwin Arthur and Director at the DW Akademie, Ama Kodjo to officially mark the unveiling of the revised code.

Speaking ahead of the event, Senior Programme Manager for Media and Good Governance Programme at the MFWA, Rosemond Aryeetey, explained that the media landscape in Ghana has seen a tremendous change in all aspects ranging from styles of reportage to even channels and outlets. “PRINPAG has seen a major expansion that has gone beyond the initial member count, therefore MFWA has also seen the need to bring out a revised code of Ethics to be able to maintain the integrity and accuracy that PRINPAG upholds.” she said.
