The office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a one-day tour of three major markets in Accra by Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman.

The tour which was announced in a recently released statement, takes place on Thursday, August 15, 2024 and will give the running mate to John Mahama, the opportunity to interact with traders, artisans and all other workers within the respective precincts in Mallam Atta, Kaneshie and Makola.

The upcoming tour also serves as an opportunity for Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman to propagate future women-inclusive plans and policies of the NDC like the Women’s financial empowerment policies set to introduce the establishment of a women’s development bank.

The statement signed by the spokesperson of the Vice President hopeful, James Agyenim-Boateng highlights that the policy will benefit a great number of women. “about one million women in business, including food vendors, market women, bakers,
hairdressers and dressmakers. They will have access to loans with flexible
payment terms.” the statement said.
