The vice-presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is commencing a four-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region.

Her itinerary includes visits to Asawase, Afigya Kwabre South, Subin, Manhyia South, Nhyiaeso, and Asante Akim South constituencies. She will also campaign in Sekyere Afram Plains, Juaben, Ejisu, Obuasi West, and Atwima Kwanwoma constituencies.

A statement signed and released by her spokesperson, James Agyenim-Boateng, on Monday, October 28, 2024, noted that, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will engage with various groups, including Muslim women, professional associations, trade groups, and artisans, through separate meetings. She will also interact with the public, including market women, NDC members, supporters, and well-wishers.

Her campaign will focus on the achievements of the NDC in the Ashanti Region, highlighting key projects such as the ultra-modern Kejetia Market, a new airport, and improved health facilities. She will also emphasize the dedication of the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, to the development of the region and the nation.

The campaign aims to convince voters that supporting Mahama will result in development, job creation, and financial empowerment for women.
