Former Division One Board Chairman, Lawyer Ntow Fianko, has descended heavily on the Normalisation Committee (NC) Of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) for their attempt to change the name and logo of the Association.

There have been reports in the local media indicating that the Normalisation Committee has proposed a change in the logo and the name of the Ghana Football Association to ‘Association of Ghana Football’.

According to the astute lawyer, the proposal by the Dr. Kofi Amoah led-committee to change the logo and name of the Football Association is one of the most useless thing to be done as part of the reforms.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s ‘ Anopa Bosuo Sports’, Lawyer Fianko said, “Changing the GFA name is the most useless proposal ever. Is the GFA the only organization captured in the Anas exposè? Has the other organization changed their names too? Football people are not stupid the Normalization Committee must know that.”

“Congress is the supreme body so they can reject proposals. Congress must be informed 14 days before Congress but since they want to call for emergency Congress, they still need to send these proposals to Congress to go through 14 days before Congress in order to be able to make an input on the day,” he added.

Lawyer Fianko revealed that “Football people will throw this proposal into the nearest dustbin during Congress in front of the Normalization committee members.”
