Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have been ordered by FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber to pay Ghanaian international Awal Mohammed $54,000 within 30 days.
The amount of $54,000 is the cost of outstanding remuneration for the player during his time at the club.
Awal Mohammed’s contract was terminated in June 2016 after one year at the club where he made 22 appearances for the club. Before that he was playing in South Africa with Maritzburg United where he was a key member of the set-up.
Awal, who currently plays for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, was represented at FIFA by president of Phar Rangers Football Club, Nana Yaw Amponsah who is a reknowned sports lawyer and FIFA intermediary.
Awal was part of the Ghana squad that finished second at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
