An IT specialist, Raphael Mensah also known as Odoi has voluntarily surrendered to authorities after being declared wanted by Ghana’s Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
The OSP issued a public notice on July 10, 2025, citing Mr. Mensah’s alleged involvement in a corruption-related offence.
Specifically, he’s accused of aiding and abetting the misuse of public office for personal gain, breaching sections 20(2) and 179C(a) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
Mr. Mensah was reportedly outside the country when the notice was released.
Upon his return, he appeared before the court on July 15, where he was granted bail under strict conditions.
The court set bail at GHS 100,000, requiring two sureties. Mr. Mensah was ordered to surrender his passport and report to the OSP every two weeks while investigations continue.
The OSP is ramping up its crackdown on corruption and the abuse of public office. Officials emphasized that investigations remain active and that Mr. Mensah, like all accused, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
