The Spintex Knights, reigning champions of the Accra Basketball League (ABL), have reached the finals for the second consecutive year after sweeping the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Braves in the semi-finals at the Elwak Sports Stadium.

Their dominant performance in the best-of-three semifinal playoffs series reaffirmed their status as the league’s powerhouse.

In Game 1, Spintex Knights overcame a spirited Braves side, securing a 69-62 victory through clutch plays in the final moments.

Game 2 was a more commanding display, with the Knights stifling their opponents defensively en route to a 57-42 win, sealing their passage to the finals.

The Knights’ unbeaten regular season laid the foundation for this achievement, reflecting their consistency.

This domestic success comes on the back of an eventful campaign that saw them compete in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers. The team advanced to the Elite 16 stage but missed out on progressing further, becoming the first Ghanaian team to reach that level.

With their finals opponents between Cold Store and Reformers yet to be determined , the Knights will aim to defend their ABL crown in what promises to be an electrifying final.

With the hunger to bounce back from their BAL disappointment and maintain their supremacy at home, the Spintex Knights are poised to deliver yet another chapter in their impressive story.
