Rev. Owusu Bempah lacks knowledge in Bible principles- Bishop John Yaw Adu

Founder of New Jerusalem Chapel, Bishop John Yaw Adu, has stated that Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah is inexperienced and lacks knowledge and that is why his prophecies are plagued with controversies.

He made these revelations on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political show. ‘’Prophecies come in various forms but knowledge and experience will inform you on how to go about them’,’ he said.

‘’If God reveals something to you generally without names, it is ok to make such a prophecy public knowledge but immediately the prophecy is directed at specific persons known to you, it is prudent you go to them individually and let them know the mind of God’,’ he continued.

According to Bishop J.Y Adu, the Bible in 1st Corinthians 14:15 (What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also) explicitly states that wisdom must be applied in all things.

He however, indicated that this is the first time Rev. Owusu Bempah didn’t copy his prophecies word for word hence the controversies that have bedevilled his recent prophecies.

Rev. Owusu Bempah, who is the leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, has come under the spotlight following certain predictions he made on December 31, 2018.

The pastor prophesied that a number of high-profile personalities may die in the year 2019.

He mentioned personalities like Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ex-president John Mahama, ex-president John Kufuor and the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu among a host of others.

In reaction, some angry youth took the law into their own hands by storming Rev. Owusu Bempah’s church at Odorkor to vandalise properties.
