Hearts of Oak has announced the signing of former Elmina Sharks goalkeeper Richard Attah ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
Richard Attah has been a long transfer target for the club and the Phobians have acquired his services for free after his contract with Elmina Sharks expired.
Attah was impressive for Elmina Sharks during the Normalisation Committee Special Competition where he kept the most clean sheets in the tournament.
Details on his move to the Ghana Premier League giant remains unknown but Hearts announced he has signed a long term deal.
A club statement read: ”The Hearts of Oak management is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Richard Attah. He has signed a long term deal with the club.”
His arrival will serve as a boost for the Hearts of Oak goalkeeping department which currently has Black Meteors goalkeeper Richmond Ayi and the experienced Ben Mensah.
The Phobians have begun preparations ahead of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which kicks off on the weekend of December 27-29.
