President of the School Feeding Caterers’ Association, Charlotte Asante has issued a robust and detailed response to the Auditor-General’s 2022 report, vehemently denying allegations that caterers have been serving substandard and unhealthy meals to basic school pupils.

Charlotte Asante categorically affirmed that member caterers prepare nutritious, wholesome, and safe meals, carefully crafted to meet the dietary needs of the pupils.

She emphasized the association’s unwavering commitment to quality and freshness, ensuring that meals are carefully prepared and served in a clean and hygienic environment.

She also highlighted the association’s rigorous quality control measures, which include regular monitoring and evaluation of meals to ensure they meet the highest standards.

Furthermore, she noted that teachers in the various schools have been consuming the same meals as the pupils, without a single complaint or report of adverse health effects.

She has dismissed the Auditor-General’s report as unfounded, misleading, and lacking concrete evidence, urging for it to be disregarded in its entirety.
