Ghana’s number one urban radio station, YFM has announced it will soon reward its ardent listeners for being loyal and also helping the station to grow.

These giveaways will be featured in YFM’s on-air programmes such as RyseNShyne, Shouts On Y and Y Lounge on all three (3) stations in the month of October. Prizes include tickets to a top Spa in Ghana or dinner tickets and movie tickets.

To participate in this activity, listeners are expected to pay attention to hosts of the key shows on YFM to stand the chance of winning these great prizes. Listeners of the informative and fun breakfast show, RyseNShine through the fun phone-in games such as ‘Tick Tock’, ‘Beat the Clock’ and ‘Wrong Song’ where the first caller wins a prize should she or he hear a song that is not likely to be on a YFM playlist.

On the Mid-Morning Radio show, the host, Rev.Erskine will reward the first three female callers on Wednesdays as part of his WCW with headphones, weekend getaways, and brunch vouchers.

It gets even more exciting on ‘Shouts on Y’ as Caroline describes a particular meal recipe for the first caller to identify a particular meal to win vouchers or movie tickets. Further, listeners stand the chance of winning airtime, movie tickets, lunch or dinner vouchers by identifying a sound effect that will be played sometime during the show.

The Y Lounge with Akosua Hansen and DJ Kess will also introduce wonderful prizes as part of its popular segments such as “Mission Impossible”, “I’m Sorry Segment”.

Programmes Manager of Y107.9 FM (Accra), Eddy Blay, expressed his anticipation and excitement for the upcoming massive giveaways from YFM.

“We value our listeners so much that we want to give back for all their support and loyalty for the many years that YFM has been operating. I believe this is a good initiative by YFM and I cannot wait for this to get started”, he said.

YFM is known to be the number one youth radio station across the three cities of Accra, Takoradi and Kumasi. In Kumasi, listeners will be treated to the battle of the sexes where two people, female and male respectively answer ten (10) simple questions at the same time. The person with the highest score wins a lunch date, a spa treat and some souvenirs.

Programmes Manager for Y102.5 (Kumasi) FM, Nathaniel Osei Kuffour gives the listeners the steps to take to join this wonderful competition.

“To participate, listeners can send their name and number to our Whatsapp line with the caption ‘pick me’. We will select two people, male and female respectively out of the many to compete. I urge all listeners to join this competition because they will be missing a lot if they do not”, he said.
Listeners in Takoradi will not be left out in this quiz competition as they also stand the chance of winning great prizes from answering correctly.

The Programmes Manager for Y97.9FM (Takoradi), Mr.Agyekum Gyimah Akwasi also encouraged listeners to call into the show.

“I entreat everyone to call into the show to win exciting prizes. YFM has always been committed to entertaining its listeners. However, we would not have been successful without the support of our listeners. This is a way to say thank you. The fun part is that no one is left out because we are giving to all our listeners across all the three YFM stations”, he said.

YFM assures its listeners of bringing this radio experience closer to them through an outdoor broadcasting where Shouts On Y will be the platform to give away a live chicken, where listeners can only win by catching the chicken in competition style.

For those who can correctly answer questions during the “Who Said That” trivia segment, these will win shopping vouchers.

To climax this startling YFM initiative, listeners will have the chance to win a live Goat or Sheep during the month of November by answering trivia questions about the Shouts On Y show as part of YFM’s birthday celebration.
