A National Organizer hopeful and member of the NDC communication team Mr. Henry Osei Akoto has bashed Minister of Communications, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful for her “evil corruption” comments she made on July 31, 2022 while announcing the extension of the re-registration of sim cards at a press conference.

“I have also been informed that some people who have obtained quick loan services from their providers have decided not to register those sims to avoid repaying the loan. That is evil corruption and you will be found out,” she said while addressing the press at the briefing last Sunday.

However, reacting to this, Mr. Henry Osei Akoto through a post on his Twitter page has called out the sector minister for labelling quick loan debtors as evil and corrupt.

According to him the Quick Loan platform is not owned by government so he sees no reason why she should wade into the whole matter.

He also also mentioned that with the many corruption scandals hovering over the ruling government, officials of the NPP should be the last to talk about corruption.

“Ursula Owusu had no locus to attack Quik loan debtors. Quick Loan is not a government subsidiary, nor is it Ursula Owusu’s money,” he tweeted.

“For a government full of thieves and crooks, they should be the last to talk about “evil corruption. If the economy was good, people wouldn’t owe,” Mr. Henry Osei Akoto added.
