Widely acclaimed Dancehall king Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. has disclosed that he got angry and yelled when he engaged a Police Officer because the law enforcement officer called him a rascal, a word he found offensive.
The popular musician has been captured in a viral video in a hot exchange of words with a policeman at East Legon. In the video, the police officer is seen ordering the artiste and his friends to get back into their cars and follow him to the police station.
Shatta Wale, after unsuccessful in his bid to get the policeman to let him and his friends go, flared up, shouting and raining words on the law enforcement officer for dealing with a public figure like him in that manner.
Speaking on the incident on Peace FM Saturday, the self acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale explaining the circumstance surrounding the altercation said, he was accosted as has been reported and that the Policeman had rather stopped his G-Wagon vehicle which he’d sent someone to go and wash, and was called to the incident scene.
According to him, he personally knows the said Policeman and even calls him ‘Uncle’  but the law enforcement officer got on his wrong side when he called him a rascal, a word he hates to be used on him.
“It got to a point people were coming around, people don’t know the relationship I have with him so he actually used the word you these rascals and I said oh, uncle, you’re calling me rascal, that’s when I got pissed. I was like let’s leave the car keys with him, he can even keep the car and drive because I love him so much. I don’t want the word rascal, people were coming around and I didn’t want them to hear him call me a rascal and then the next thing you see and hear, my story will be all over the media. That Policeman is no person people should get worried about because he’s my man.”
