The Director of Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture (NCC), Mr.Socrate Safo has blamed the Ghanaian media for corporate bodies’ disinterest to sponsor the entertainment Industry.

Speaking in an interview with Doctar Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra Show, Mr. Safo said: ”The media’s ridiculing of the entertainment products we sell prevents sponsorship. We have not made the entertainment industry attractive for sponsorship and the media must understand their responsibilities.”

He added that corporate Ghana should not be blamed for not sponsoring the entertainment industry because they are willing to sponsor only if the industry is made attractive.

He however cautioned artistes to strategize in terms of branding in order for companies to pursue them.

”The artistes must also understand what they need to do”, he added.
